I adore this book. I have been a student of Lou Tice for the last year, in that year i've been able to make substantial changes in my life. How? by changing the way I speak to myself. Tice takes you on a heart-warming and encouraging story about how he was able to overcome adversity and create the life that he wanted. Isn't that what we all want to be able to accomplish? He'll show you how to sort your values, be of more worth to yourself and others, help to to define your motivations and more. Highly Recommended! but look for the Excellence Course too.

I heard Lou Tice decades ago on cassettes! LOVED his program, something about "in Excellence". I thought this book would encapsulate that information but it didn't. However it was a gift and I was told today that this is just what she wanted and needed and that it was the BEST book on goal setting she's ever read.

I hope to buy her the full program that I heard decades ago. After listening to Lou, I literally changed my life! It was amazing and he is so easy to listen to. IF you can find that program get it...I know they sell it at his institute in the Pacific Northwest on CD format for about 80.00. He taught me to think outside the box, and most importantly about the "reticular activating system" within our brains. Priceless information for everyone...takes the woo woo out of the "just throw it to the universe" people and explains in a scientific and proven way WHY and HOW we can get what we want in this life. No woo woo needed, thank you very much.

I can't say enough good about this amazing educator; I listened to the old cassettes many times over and never tired of them. This course had been purchased by a big corporation for big bucks and taught to their sales staff; a wonderful gal I met let me borrow it and I had the tapes copied. Now 30 years later they're dust. Read everything and anything this man says, as he truly is the best in a long line of wanna-be inspirational speakers....where you pay a fortune and forget it the minute you walk out the convention door. With Lou, this won't happen; it will stick with you forever! I'm saddened to hear of his recent passing and wish his family all the best. They sure lost a one-of-a kind.

SMART TALK

I read this wonderful book years ago.It's perfect as a motivational tool in any business field.
Now I'm reading it because of health issues related to having a stroke a couple years ago. I'm finding it to be perfect for patients, like me, recovering from a brain injury. I would expect that patients suffering from other illnesses would also benefit!!!!!
EXCELLENT!! All of Lou Tice's recommendations are right on the mark. His examples and anecdotes help the reader understand & believe that all of the suggestions & principles are doable!

Made me Homesick

I was born and raised in Newport Beach 51-71 until something called Vietnam took me away. I have been back a couple times for family events, but anything I want to return home, I just pick up this book. The stories are all real and most are from a time that I remember only too well. I look forward to more books of Newport. Thanks Judge for taking me Home after so many years of being away.

Ronnie Smith grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Loyola University of Maryland (B.A.) and the University of Maryland. Ron played semi-pro basketball in Europe before entering the U.S. Air Force in 1983 to fly C-130 transport aircraft. He has traveled the world as a professional aviator, bringing a spiritual dimension to his writing through this inspiration. His poetry has appeared in The New York Times, The Wisconsin Review, and The Evansville Review, among others. He resides in St. Louis, Missouri.

A lovely strong collection of poems for children.

This small book contains small poems for small people. Each poem is carefully and delicately made, something we often think of when we see something exquisite in nature and compare it to a human - made bauble. These short observations of children and their lives, their sometimes nearly invisible place in the world as they gaze about them to discover what the world is like and how to live in it, are braided through with verbal pictures of children in all seasons and activities. For me they brought strong memories of my own childhood, and moments where it seemed I learned all I needed of life just by being there. A lovely small collection of poems for children.

Delightful collection of poetry for chidren

Poetry is a wonderful thing and I believe there is no better time to be introduced to it then at childhood. The Sky Is Wonder is a very nice collection that is short enough so kids won’t become overwhelmed or bored, and has a strong pull for them to go back and read again. I wish I’d had access to books like this myself when I was younger, but at least I can spread this one around for young ones to get bitten by the poetry bug.

About the Author
Gail L. Cramer is currently L. C. Carter Chair Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at thre University of Arkansas, a position he has held since 1987. He attained his Bachelor's degree in 1963 from Wahsington State University, hos Master's degree from Michigan State University in 1964, and his Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Oregon State University in 1967.

Clearance W. Jensen is currently Professor Emeritus in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Economics, an appointment he has enjoyed since 1980.
He attended Montana State College where he was granted Bachelors and Masters degrees in Agricultural Economics and Economics in 1951 and 1952. Further graduate work at Michigan State University was completed, where he received the Ph.D. degree in Agricultural Economics and Economics in 1958.

Douglas D. Southgate, Jr. is a Professor of agricultural economics at Ohio State University, where he also has directed the International studies Center and the Latin American Studies Program. He was awarded a bachelor's degree in economics by the University of Oregon in 1974 and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. He completed his Ph.D. in agricultural economics at the University of Wisconsin, in 1980, and the same year joined the faculty at Ohio State. He was promoted to associate professor in 1986 and to full professor in 1995.

A great book of Agribusiness

Some time ago, I had in my hands this book. And never forgot it. This book is the most comprehensive work about agri-markets. In fact, in a wide range of topics we can learn macro and micro economics that rules this special market. I remember, in special, the chapter that describes the price determinations. The clarity of concepts with a easily assimilation, with a lot of cases that get to readers a simply notion of his contents. In brief I believe this book is a powerfull tool for students, farmers, economist, and all those people interesten in behavoir of Agri Markets.

Why did you write this book?
I love to uncover secrets about subjects like the FBI, CIA, or Secret Service. I’ve always been aware that even though the FBI becomes involved in everything from the raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound and congressional scandals to the confirmation of Supreme Court justices, very little ever gets out about what agents uncover in the course of their investigations. The Secrets of the FBI is a vehicle for revealing that privileged information.

What was the most surprising thing you found?
I could not believe that the FBI gave me the inside story on how it breaks into homes, offices, and embassies to plant bugging devices without getting caught. Along with names of terrorism and Mafia informants, this is the most sensitive, closely guarded information the FBI has. Many high-ranking FBI agents were shocked as well. It’s the most riveting story I’ve uncovered in my journalism career.

FBI Secrets

Very informative book about the FBI. They work so hard to help our country stay safe. Ronald Kessler is a fine writer and I have read many more of his books. Thank you.

Two drunks get on a city bus. It starts up, drives away, and a short time later, the passengers begin disrobing. They have revolvers strapped to their hips, radio gear, maybe Uzis. Seeing this, the drunks get nervous, get up and start pulling the overhead chain. They're desperate and want off the bus. The bus driver is knocking over garbage cans making his turns on the city streets. He yells back at the drunks "Hey, quit playing with the bell!" One of the passengers approaches the drunks. He's carrying a shotgun. "Do we know you?" the passenger says to the drunk. Now the drunks begin to pull the bell so hard they nearly rip it off its moorings. The passenger with the shotgun yells "Hey Phil, stop the bus. We got a couple of riders here." According to Ronald Kessler in his new book The Secrets Of The FBI, the passengers were FBI agents on a stakeout. The bus picked up the two drunks by mistake. Is this any way to run a government agency? Got that right. Welcome to the post 9/11 world of keeping America safe.

As Mr. Kessler indicates, this is not your grandfather's FBI. They think out of the box these days, and do imaginative things like staging fake car accidents to find terror suspects. They can and will impersonate almost anybody, although not a journalist or members of clergy. And female agents are not permitted to use sex to entrap a subject. So, if in doubt about who your date really is, kiss her. If she's FBI, she can't respond.

As to the question everyone has been wondering about, on page 17 we get: "Every other week, agent Louis Grever meets with his counterparts at the CIA". So yes, there is sharing of intelligence information, which was generally not the case prior to 9/11.

The FBI also doesn't like barking dogs, and will use tranquilizer darts to silence them. Other times they encounter more exotic species. On page 22 we get agent Mike McDevitt: "I hear all this noise ...I have a penlight in my mouth... I turn my head towards that... I see these orange eyes looking at me... a jaguar in a cage."

There are rewards that go beyond the tangible. Grever: "You love getting the phone call at home, grabbing your bag, and telling your family, `I gotta go! They need me! The country needs me!" When there's nothing more to learn about someone, the FBI clamps on the cuffs. "The day we arrest someone is the day I can't collect against him anymore," according to FBI assistant national security director Art Cummings II.

Overall, this book will answer most questions about the FBI's mission and its handling of important cases, including the hunt for Osama Bin Laden in Chapter 21. One new battleground is cyber terrorism, and industrial espionage, especially signals emanating from China. "We are being flooded, absolutely flooded by predominantly Chinese cyber attacks," Cummings says.
